February 25th and 26th 2012 will see the event return to the world stage for wood chopping with world class Axeman competing for two prestigious World Titles, being the 325mm Underhand and 325mm Standing Block. The woodchopping heats will occur on the 25th, with all the excitement of the title events and all the other popular Back to Fonty's events to take place on Sunday the 26th.

The two best axeman from Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and WA will be joined by two Champions from New Zealand vying for the world titles on offer. Mr David Foster, the greatest ever World Champion, will also be a special guest, commentator and competitor at the event.
Other events will also be included in the program for local axemen, veterans and juniors alike with a teams race including the world’s best on hand, tree climber’s, sawyer’s and chainsaws rounding out the program and completing a special day.

In conjunction with the world class wood chopping events there will be the “Bath Tub Derby” in the picturesque pool with competitors again vying for two top of the range barbecues from Kleenheat Gas.

The Miss Fonty’s parade, so incredibly popular last year, will be back bigger and better than ever (entry form now available here). This year, the first prize is a fabulous 1.5 carat diamond and gold ring valued at $2500 - proudly supplied by James the Jewellers of Manjimup & Bridgetown.
